Back in the Poly days, me and "lala in the house" aka Fida(okay, Fida and I), we have the tendency to go to the lecture theatre, open our notebooks, and begin scribbling and writing. From the lecturer's point of view, of course, we're two diligent students taking notes of what he's babbling about. From the ppl who peeped at our notes, we're actually just doodling, drawing, and sometimes writing poetry and stuff!
Fida is the epitome of a distinction Malay Lit student. Half of what she write in Malay I just couldn't understand. My Malay is scrap. I mean I manage to scrape through O levels with an A, but those higher Malay vocab, is just beyond me. Not that my English is anything to be boastful about. But I'm always more comfortable at expressing my views in English rather than in Malay.
But we have this experimentation going on. If we were inspired to write about something, she'll write it in Malay and I in English and this is one of the works we have done. I believe Fida is digging around her cupboards for her notebook which definitely has caught dust since 2002 to find her version and so until that, here's my version.
